Budget airlines are mainly for people travelling abroad with a tight budget.I fly SQ a lot but I don't think that I am superior to any passenger who fly Jetstar.It just happened that I can afford a little bit more than those budget airline travellers.Yet they may still have a better and more meaningful journey than me.
