淡季。然而淡季并不影响夏威夷的消费水平。{:7_330:}

6月份是淡季?
拿好!

Winter High Season in January through MarchAfter New Year's, peak season continues through the first week or two of January. The last two weeks of January may usher in some of the least expensive airfares of the year when the last holiday makers have left, and the mid-winter high season hasn't quite arrived. This dip is only a temporary one however, as February and March are still high season. When Easter arrives early, March is even more popular. As long as the lower 48 states are experiencing winter, Hawaii continues to attract large numbers of visitors, including surfers looking for the bigger winter waves whipped up by trade winds. Winter is also a draw for whale watchers.

Spring Low Season in April through JuneOnce the Easter break has passed, the remainder of April through mid-June is off-season. Exceptionally, "Golden Week" in Japan is responsible for a bump in tourism numbers in late April through the first few days of May when most Japanese businesses are closed and they're free to travel. While the Japanese tourism may not affect airfares to and from the continental U.S., hotels and resort prices may be impacted. This is the start of the dry season, which means the trade winds die down – as does the surf – so both the ocean water and the weather should be delightful. Swimming at the beach is comfortable, with ocean water in the mid- to high-70s degree Fahrenheit. The tropical landscape is at its showiest with plenty of sunshine and blossoming spring foliage.

Busy Summer Vacations in July and AugustSchool's out...and that means school in Hawaii, too. Beaches and attractions favored by families, including locals, become noticeably more crowded in summer. For visitors, Hawaii Tourism Authority points out that airfare may be especially pricey for travelers flying in from the East Coast, due to high-season adjustments associated with the transcontinental portion of the journey. While there's little or no rain during summer months, the high humidity makes for steamy weather. Summer also means that waterfalls and surf are at their least impressive. Average daytime temperatures top out in the low 90s Fahrenheit and at the beach, the ocean water can be above 80 degrees. Hurricanes cannot be completely written off, although they rarely affect the Hawaiian Islands.

Autumn is Off-Season September to Mid-DecemberOnce school resumes, family travel to Hawaii comes to a close until the Christmas rush. Therefore, fall means low season. Late autumn brings a welcome change in airfares and accommodation tariffs, but less delightful changes in the weather once November draws near. In mid-October the Championship Ironman Triathlon event attracts athletes and their supporters to the Big Island of Hawaii at Kailua-Kona. On the north shores of the island, November through February is the big wave surf season. If a Kona storm carrying high winds and rain comes along, this is the season for it. As a rule, it tends to be drier on the leeward (western) side of the islands and rainier on the windward (eastern) sides. From about two weeks before Christmas, arrival numbers to Hawaii jump sky high, which is reflected in prices. Airfares over the holiday period can be more than double the fares offered in May and October. Peak season continues for a week or two beyond New Year's Day.
