AirAsia conducting system upgrade, maintenance
November 10, 2011
KUALA LUMPUR: Frills-free airline, AirAsia, will conduct a system upgrade and maintenance this weekend to provide enhanced online operations for passengers.
Following the exercise, online flight booking services will be temporarily unavailable from 11am on Saturday to 6am on Sunday, it said.
“During the downtime, the public will not be able to self check-in via the web, by mobile and at the kiosks or self-manage their booking online.
“We strongly advise passengers to check-in early via web before the disruption period to avoid any inconvenience to their travel plans,” it said in a statement today.
The budget carrier said affected passengers would be informed via e-mail and SMS.
“Passengers can check our website (www.airasia.com), Twitter twitter.com/AirAsia) and Facebook (facebook.com/AirAsia) for updates,” the airline said.
However, hotel bookings and reservations for tours and activities on www.airasiago.com will remain available throughout the system upgrade, it added. - Bernama
