Nusantara Buana Air (NBA) have recently re-signed their contract with the government for flights from Ambon to Banda - currently Wednesday and Saturday for approx 320,000 rupiah (US$ 35) one way. (Cost depends on how much the government are subsidising the flights.) It is difficult to book flights ahead, and from all reports, the Banda - Ambon connection can only be booked in Banda. For flights from Ambon to Banda you can call the agent in Ambon on +62 812 4441 0690 and speak to Mrs Lin. NBA have been more consistent with flights than when Merpati had the contract. Flight is 1 hour and is scheduled to leave Ambon at 7 in the morning and return from Banda at approx 9 o'clock. Aircraft is an 18 seater (so need to try to book as early as possible) and luggage limit is 10kg although when I flew, many passengers had hand luggage equal to at least another 10kgs.
