I would like to submit a complain regarding hotels.com cancel my order without my permission and does not honor the reservation.
I was able to book a hotel room with some public valid coupon code on 18-Aug. My booking number on Hotel.com is:

I applied a public coupon code of Hotel.com 4STARUS and 4STARCA that minus 40 USD/CAD on each booking. The Terms and Condition of the code is clearly indicated there is no minimum spend on booking. here is the snapshot the terms and conditions of the coupon code.
The reservation is booked successfully and money had been deducted from my credit card. I believe in this case, the deal had been made and contract between consumer and agency had been set.
However, I get a email from Hotels.com today and they directly cancel my booking without any prior communication or notication:

I called Hotel.com customer service and they denied they cancel my order firstly. After showing the evidence, they admitted they canceled my booking because there was a "configuration mistake with the coupon code". the customer service supervisor refused to revert my booking back and said it is final.
The booking had been made as it suppose to be. once is the deal had been made, I would treated the contract had been made. they should not ask customer to take their own fault.
I believe it is clear violation of the contract that made between hotels.com and me. and they refuse to take the responsibility on execute the contract.
Hence by, I would like to submit this complain to you and hope you can help coordinate with hotels.com with my problem.
I will keep the right for taking legal actions to hotels.com if the issue does not get resolved.
